So reads the back of Beauty For Ashes by Dorothy Love. The story centers on Carrie Daly, a widow living in teh south after the Civil War. The story opens with a wedding, and one thinks is will be Carrie’s wedding. But it isn’t, the wedding is for her brother, Henry.While in town Carrie bumps into, almost literally, Griff Rutledge and she invited him to the wedding.
This is their story.
This book is one of a series and really shouldn’t be read alone. (Now I learn that….) The other book in the series is Beyond All Measure. I recommned getting both books and reading them!
