The Corruptible by Mark Mynheir is CSI:Miami and House all rolled into one delicious morsel. Any book that starts by tickling your funny bone with the first line has to be a good book.
And The Corruptible is just that book.
“Dying on the toilet was not how I envisioned leaving this world.”
Detective Ray Quinn is a former police officer turned Private Investigator. He has been hired to find and return stolen property to Mayer Holdings. The person accused of theft is a former officer too and Ray knows him.
The plot thickens when the accused, Logan Ramsey, is murdered and there are many suspects because everyone wanted the man dead, but no leads. And the stolen property Armon Mayer is willing to pay big bucks to have returned seems to have disappeared a long with Logan’s car.
I give this book 6 out of 5 turning pages.
(I received a copy of this book free from the publisher for the purposes of review.)
