Beth Moore is a best-selling author, excellent speaker, follower of Jesus.  I have been privileged to work through several of her Bible studies, and I’ve been blessed with each one. I have read several of her books (maybe all of them?) and each one ministers to my heart.

I was contacted about reviewing Beth’s new book, Whispers of Hope. Whispers of Hope (WoH) is a 10 week, (70 day) devotional prayer. This book is so just what I needed!  I’ve mentioned it a time or fifty how much I struggle with the spiritual discipline of prayer. Like most people, I promise to “pray for you”, but often forget as soon as the conversation is over.  I hate that, and each time I do it I claim to be better. But claiming to be better doesn’t seem to be working.

WoH is designed to be used each day for 70 days, you read a short devotional and then have a time of journaling your prayers following Beth’s P.R.A.I.S.E  format.

Each day (and I haven’t done all 70 yet) has been hard hitting with a soft fist. I have been so very convicted with each day. And each day I’ve realized afresh how much Jesus loves me.

Now to explain the P.R.A.I.S.E format.

Praise
Repentance
Acknowledge
Intercession
Self
Equipping.

I could delve further into it, but then why would you need the book?

Trust me! You need this book. Even if your prayer life is living and vibrant. Even if you already have a close walk with Jesus. Even if you have a shelf or two full of devotional books.  This is one you need. It will revolutionalise your walk.  If you need to get in the habit of daily spending time with Jesus and His Word, in prayer, get this book. It takes 21 days to make a habit, think how strong that habit would be after 70 days!

To further tempt you, I have a GIVEAWAY Copy! Just comment your commitment to furthering your relationship with Jesus. All commenters will be placed in a hat, and the winner drawn December 18. To keep it honest, I will have one of my family members draw, and hopefully we’ll post a video of the drawing.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher for the purpose of review.

Author:

Child of the Most High God, Wife, Home-schooling Momma of 2. I love Jesus, people and coffee. I am the somewhat eternal optimist viewing the coffee cup as half nothing, it's full...even when I'm chewing the grounds at the bottom.
