It’s Christmas Eve and chances are good that if you’re prone to bake for others, you have already completed all of it. But for next year, or maybe for tomorrow or the next day or next week, you might want or need these. Chances are very good you know people with either food allergies or the very least food sensitivities. Chances are also good you have no idea what do make or do. All the old standbys are good but not for them.
I asked on Facebook a few weeks ago for some ideas of goodies people could make for their food difficult friends. And they did not disappoint! Here are their responses.
First a link. I have not tried these yet. My friend, Joyce, said this about it.
We love these. Dairy/gluten/processed sugar-free, but unfortunately not nut free.
For these goodies go here.
For those who are nut-free, try substituting Sun Butter which is made from Sunflower seeds.
Next Allison recommended rice krispie treats with coconut oil instead of butter.
Then Yolanda joined the discussion with another link. Here is what she had to say about it.
Yummy! No eggs, or dairy, or nuts, and can be gluten-free.
You can find that bit of goodness here. Could I just say those brownies look delicious!?!?!
Now it’s your turn, do you have any tried and true recipes for those with food allergies/sensitivities? Leave them in a comment!
